Not everybody got the chance to be born on a suburban city black like me in a communist town. Aware of there of a well born child, I have built my life on the following trinity: binding promiscuity, hard work and the ideal of a better world where " Pif the Dog" would appear on the news-stand twice a week. I would have liked to remain a child so as avoid having a sense of reality, for "a sense of reality" is really what ruined my life and even more so the duty of life while awaiting death. Painting is for me least painful way of waiting I've found, the act leading me to a form of logic where neither past no future exist, nothing but the present. And I savour this present by making things linder and imagining that I'm doing something very important. I thank in the wrong order: Théodore Géricault, Léo Ferré, Gustave Courbet, The Who and Fernand Léger for allowing me to gently believe that we'll have time to invent life, beauty, joy and that on day we'll no longer die of anything and that we'll live of everything. It's too much whew so I believe it.
